Material Science and Engineering



Our graduates are expected to become technical talents with practical professional knowledge and proficient in foreign languages. Upon completion of their degree, they will be able carry out research and development work regarding new materials, techniques and equipment in the following sectors: material science, auto manufacturing, electro-mechanical engineering, light industry, foreign trade and research institutes. They will also be competent in technical management, material testing in industrial products and commodity inspection.


Basic Knowledge and Abilities Required for Graduates

1. Acquire the theory and basic knowledge of metal materials, inorganic non-metallic materials and other high-tech material science;

2. Master the basic knowledge of the material performance measurement and product quality control, process the initial ability to research and develop new materials and techniques;

3. Acquire the fundamental knowledge of the materials processing, develop the initial ability to design materials;

4. Acquire basic skills in mechanical design, electrical and electronic techniques and computer application.

5. Develop the ability to study independently, to acquire new knowledge and to cultivate the skills in problem-solving, innovation and communication.

Mechanical Engineering



Our graduates are expected to acquire the fundamentals and practical skills in machinery design, manufacturing and control. They will also be capable in the fields of machinery design and manufacturing, technical development, the study of applied technology, operation management, and marketing. They should be well-versed in practical professional knowledge and foreign languages.


Basic Knowledge and Abilities Required for Graduates

1. Acquire solid fundamentals in natural sciences as well as basic knowledge in humanities

2. Master two foreign languages

3. Master the theories and basic knowledge in their profession, including knowledge in mechanics, electronics, machinery design and manufacturing, test and control of machines, computer application, and management

4. Acquire basic skills in mapping, computing, testing, material retrieving, and technical operation, as well as strong proficiency in computing, project design, and product development

5. Acquire the knowledge necessary to deepen one’s knowledge of one’s specialty, to monitor its development and to be well-informed of its evolutions

6. Being capable of studying independently, being innovation friendly, problem-solving and able to communicate with colleagues

Information Engineering



Our graduates are required to master the fundamentals in electronic technology and information systems so that they may be able to engage in researching, designing, and manufacturing electronic devices and information systems. They are also expected to acquire the most recent knowledge in engineering technology, project management skills, the ability to do field work, and proficiency in two foreign languages.


Basic Knowledge and Abilities Required for Graduates

1. Master the fundamentals in information engineering so as to adapt to the requirements of professional tasks.

2. Acquire the basic knowledge on theory and experimental methods of electronic circuits in order to analyse and design electronic equipment.

3. Master the general theories and methods of signal acquisition and processing as well as the basic skills to design, integrate, and apply computer simulation of information systems.

4. Be familiar with policies and regulations of IT industries.

5. Acquire an understanding of the theoretical frontiers in electronic devices and information systems


6. Being capable of studying independently, being innovation friendly, problem-solving and able to communicate with colleagues
