French Club of the Sino-European School

Founded in 2005 alongside the establishment of the Sino-European School, the French Club draws on the strength of a Sino-French cooperative engineering school with over a decade of academic excellence. Making full use of the school’s high-quality teaching resources and rich experience in organizing activities, the club upholds the educational vision of fostering students with “a Chinese heart, a global outlook, and a civilized spirit.” It also seeks to identify and share useful resources for French learners in mobile learning environments while promoting cross-cultural understanding.

The French Club provides a communication and exchange platform for French learners within the Sino-European School as well as for other enthusiasts of the French language. Every semester, it organizes a wide range of activities such as picnics (in the autumn or winter semester), balls (in the spring semester), urban orienteering events, Christmas parties, and more. These activities help strengthen exchanges between Chinese and international students and enrich students’ extracurricular life. At the same time, through its WeChat platform, the club regularly publishes previews of Sino-French student activities, reflections on studying in France, short French teaching videos, French poetry, and cultural content from different regions, with the goal of building a comprehensive platform for the French language and French culture.
