Mr. François Jenny, UTSEUS honorary joint professor

As usually in engineering education, UTSEUS solicits the expertise of professionals working in technology companies.

This expertise translates into the participation of engineers and managers from companies in the courses, either in the form of a contribution to a specific course, specialized or transverse, or in the form of "business" conferences, which give also an opportunity to present a particular branch of activity.

UTSEUS is fortunate to have established a faithful relationship with several industrial speakers, mainly from Shanghai, and wished to distinguish with a title of honorary joint professor those who have contributed a lot to our Institute.

Mr. François Jenny, business line manager at SUEZ NWS in Shanghai, was thus named honorary joint professor of UTSEUS in 2019, a title that has since been renewed for two additional years.

Indeed, Mr. François Jenny has been teaching UTSEUS students for several years in a course dedicated to "management of organizations" as well as by giving lectures on "circular economy and sustainable development" as part of the cycle of industrial innovation conferences, set up at UTSEUS in late 2019. Mr. Jenny and his colleagues at SUEZ NWS have also proposed several innovation projects to students as part of UTSEUS' "innovation crunchtime" and engaged many interns at various sites and plants under his responsibility.

Finally, Mr. François Jenny, a graduate of UTC (process engineering), who has been in China for 15 years, is at the initiative of the creation of "UT Alumni Chine", which federates in China the alumni of UT and UTSEUS, and brings them together regularly - after-works and annual gala -, another way to keep in touch with graduates and current students of the UT family.
