On March 26, 2021, Shanghai ALSTOM Transport Electrical Equipment (SATEE) hosted a delegation of 25 engineering students from UTSEUS accompanied by several teachers and management representatives.

Warmly welcomed by the general manager Mr. Georges Yang and several members of the management (operations, HR, ...), the students were first able to understand the organization of the company and its positioning in technical and industrial terms, on the various segments of the railway market (trains, subways, tramways). The exchange continued with Mr. YANG and his colleagues in the form of questions and answers, and ended with a visit of the facilities (assembly lines, test rooms, etc.).

SATEE is a joint venture between ALSTOM and Shanghai Transport Electrical Equipment. It was created in 1999.

The cycle of company visits for UTSEUS students is an integral part of their engineering curriculum and provides each year the opportunity for many students to discover industrial facilities, so as to develop a better idea of many aspects of their future career as engineer.

Other visits have already taken place this year (HARDINGE) or will soon take place (Dassault Systèmes) in Shanghai.
