Like each year, UTSEUS has enrolled nearly 250 freshmen for its bachelor programs. Coming from 15 provinces and autonomous cities of China, including Shanghai of course, these students have started their academic year 2020-2021 on September 14th, when a welcome ceremony has been organized on the Baoshan campus of Shanghai University.
In the presence of 248 freshmen together with representatives of UTSEUS: student life department, professors and deans, this ceremony was an opportunity to welcome them and to present the main features of the study program and its environment. A student representative was able to respond, on behalf of his class, to the welcome speeches of the professors and deans.
At the same time, in the Universities of Technology in France (UTBM, UTC, UTT), 110 junior students of the 3rd year enrolled in July, have started their academic year in early September in the postgraduate studies or in the studies to pursue an engineer certificate (branch) of the UT. Conversely, the French and international students from the UT who were supposed to travel to UTSEUS in fall for the "Innovation & Entrepreneurship in Intercultural Environments" program were unable to make the trip due to the COVID-19 pandemics. Despite these cancellations (spring and fall 2020, yet again spring 2021), we continue to work so as to prepare for the reopening of these two programs to French and international students in Shanghai.
