UTSEUS welcomed international students in spring semester 2019
     

    With the arrival of the last batch of UT students on March 1st to Shanghai University, UTSEUS in 2019 ushered in “Science and Humanities in China” bachelor-level exchange program (known as “TC4”) and “Innovation & Entrepreneurship in Intercultural Environments master-level program” (known as (IE) 2), a total of 102 international students. They will spend the next six months studying and living together with Chinese students at UTSEUS.

    In the first week, nearly 100 Chinese students participated in the reception work of international students, offering them language support, helping them rent houses and showing them around the campus, these involvements guaranteed the smooth landing and placement of the international students.



    At the opening ceremony, Mr. Liu Wanyu, and Marc BONDIOU, Deans of UTSEUS, expressed their warm welcome to the international students of the two programs and introduced them with the basic information of Shanghai University, UTSEUS and the programs, especially emphasized the importance of abiding by Chinese laws and regulations and respect Chinese cultures. The coordinator in charge of each program introduced the specific contents of the course arrangement and credit requirements to the students.



    On the afternoon of March 4th, UTSEUS International Program Group organized a Chinese folk music concert for international students. Professional performers from School of Music, Shanghai University, presented a wonderful folk music show to international students. The most representative folk musical instruments flute, Pipa, Erhu, and Guzheng took turns to perform, and the international students were all amazed by the exquisite skills of the folk music performers.

    After the performance, the performers showed the international students basic skills of playing the folk instruments, so that they can experience the charm of Chinese folk music.



    Within the framework of Sino-French cooperative education, UTSEUS annually receives international students from the French Universities of Technology and other partner institutions while sends bachelor students to pursue an engineer diploma in France. TC4 and (IE) 2 are the two major programs of UTSEUS to receive international students.
